I am 🇪🇺 European, born & bred in sunny 🇿🇦 South Africa, currently pursuing my passion for software and cybersecurity.
The following things gives me energy and gets me exited:
- Finding challenges and solving them. This includes technology, but also from a business context.
- I generally try to stay ahead of the technology curve, think and work proactively, and lead by example.
- Staying up to date with the latest and current trends, threats, and techniques used in cybersecurity.
I felt inspired to create this website to share interesting topics that I am interested in, as well as raise awareness of topics that I feel need more attention.
Current objectives and philosophy
Using my knowledge and know-how as a Engineering Manager, Software Architect, Dev(Sec)Ops Engineer and Cybersecurity Professional, I am focussed on delivering value to all my stakeholders.
I believe it is important to know how to protect yourself and your business stakeholders from various threat actors, so these days, I find myself going down the rabbit hole of Threat Intelligence, Network Security and Application Security, when I am not doing my day job as a Software Architect.
Recently I took the first step towards certifying my cybersecurity knowledge with Google’s CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional). Equiped with this knowledge, I can now navigate the 8 domains of cyber security without fear or prejudice.
